Today on March 10th, over four months since the MLB lockout started between the MLB and the MLB player's union, a cease fire has been agreed on. While no deal is yet official, a tentative agreement has been made that will lead to the regular season starting as soon as possible.
Spring Training camps will be opening this Sunday the 13th of March, ending the second longest lockout in the league's history.
A final vote was tallied 26-12 in favor of accepting the MLB's latest proposal. It's reported the key change in the MLB's latest offer was the MLB lending an olive branch around the competitive-balance tax.
The MLB seems to be on track to open on the original starting date of April 14th and have an entire 162-game season.
