New York- The iconic women's analyst Doris Burke has broken another milestone in her career.
Doris Burke will be the first woman to call an NBA Conference and NBA Finals as a game analyst. Burke has been with ESPN since 1991and broke history in 2017 when she was the first woman to serve as a NBA Analyst full time. Burke has done it from being a sideline reporter to covering games as an analyst and does not complain one bit.
"Doris is a trailblazer who continues to re-imagine what is possible for women in broadcasting, and we know she'll thrive in this history-making radio analyst role," said Stephanie Druley, ESPN's executive vice president of event and studio production.
Since Burke will be calling the rest of the NBA games, Rachel Nichols will take her place as the sideline reporter in the Bubble. Women in sports media and inside of ESPN have been excelling and Druely loves the inspiration that each of these iconic women represents.
