Start 'Em
Quarterback
Dak Prescott vs. NYG
Prescott completed 28 of 51 passes for 379 yards and 2 touchdowns in week three. The Cowboys are off to a rough start, coming off another disappointing loss to Baltimore last Sunday. Prescott, however, has been a viable fantasy option through the team's struggles, and the leading passer in the NFL should have no problem slinging the football against the Giants, who Prescott has a 12-2 record against in his career.
Jayden Daniels vs. ARI
Daniels broke out last week against the Bengals, completing 21 of 23 passes for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns, as well as rushing the ball 12 times for 39 yards and another touchdown. Daniels has improved his stats every week so far this season, making the risk of starting the 2024 second overall pick less and less. Start him Cardinals, who've allowed 323 passing yards a game through the first three weeks (16th most in NFL).
Aaron Rodgers vs. DEN
The Jets' offense finally clicked in week three against the Patriots, where Rodgers completed 27/35 passes for 281 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rodgers showed many flashes of his old self, moving around the pocket effectively and looking as confident as ever. Though starting him against a Dever defense that has been surprisingly good to start the year (6th least in points allowed in NFL), Rodger's elite form against a solid defense in New England should make the start worth the risk this Sunday.
Kyler Murray vs. WAS
Murray had a solid week three performance, completing 21/34 passes for 207 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. With multiple weapons at his disposal, including his legs, Murray's potential to explode in fantasy will be too much to pass up on against the Commanders, who allow 255 passing yards a game (2nd worst in NFL).
Running Back
Devin Singletary vs. DAL
Singletary has been a bright spot in the Giants' offense, gaining 65 yards on the ground on 16 carries and a touchdown. Singletary has been a red zone threat for New York, as he has scored a touchdown in his last two games. Look for Singletary to get plenty of opportunities against a Dallas defense that ranks last in rushing yards allowed per game (185) and rushing touchdowns per game (2.7) through three weeks.
Aaron Jones vs. GB
Jones has been great for Minnesota and his fantasy managers, posting 102 yards on 19 carries, while also producing 46 receiving yards on 5 catches and a receiving touchdown. The volume Jones has been getting is extremely promising, especially so early in the season. Fantasy managers should expect his volume in the rushing and passing game to continue against Green Bay who allow over 100 rushing yards a game.
Carson Steele vs. LAC
Due to Isiah Pacheco's injury, Steele was the clear RB1 for Kansas City last week, producing 72 yards on 17 carries. He out-touched Chiefs running back Samaje Perine 17 to 6, which should make fantasy managers confident going forward. If Steele is still on your waiver wire, pick him up, and start him against the Chargers.
Brian Robinson Jr. vs. ARI
Robinson Jr. struggled with efficiency on MNF, posting 16 carries for 33 yards and a touchdown. With Austin Ekeler ruled out for week 4 due to a concussion, Robinson Jr. has full reins in the backfield. The red zone threat should improve on his performance against the Cardinals who rank 14th most in rushing yards allowed (123.3) and 7th most in rushing touchdowns allowed (1.3).
Wide Receiver
Jauan Jennings vs. NE
With the 49ers missing Christain McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle last week, Jennings exploded with his increased opportunity. Jennings hauled in 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. As the season goes on, Jennings' opportunities have increased, with his risk of a start in managers' lineups decreasing as a result. As long as San Francisco's offense continues to be banged up, Jennings is almost a lock to start against New England, who have allowed the 6th most passing yards per game (244.3) to opponents.
Khalil Shakir vs. BAL
Shakir was another breakout performer, posting 72 yards on 6 catches and a touchdown. With Buffalo's offense exceeding expectations and Allen gaining more and more chemistry with his receivers, fantasy managers can start getting comfortable starting Shakir most weeks. His volume should stay consistent this week against Baltimore which has allowed the most passing yards a game through the first three weeks (291.7).
Amari Cooper vs. LV
Cooper finally put together a good fantasy performance, catching 7 passes for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cooper was heavily involved in Cleveland's passing attack, logging 12 targets last week. Look for his increased production to continue against a Raiders defense that allows 226 passing yards a game (10th most in NFL).
Mike Evans vs. PHI
Evans has been struggling since his two-touchdown performance wee one. Last week was the worst of the bunch, where he logged just 2 receptions for 17 yards on three targets. If there was any week to recover, it's this week against an Eagles defense that ranks 15th in passing yards allowed (204.7) and 9th in passing touchdowns allowed (1.7). Evans is too talented not to recover from this minor slump. Start him with confidence this week.
Tight End
Dallas Goedert vs. TB
Goedert erupted for a career day last week, logging 10 receptions on 11 targets for 170 yards. With A.J. Brown's injury still looming, Goedert should remain an important part of Philly's passing attack, at least for the time being. Start him against Tampa Bay, who ranks 9th in passing yards allowed (233.7).
Cole Kmet vs. LAR
Kmet also broke out last week, posting 10 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. Kmet became quarterback Caleb Williams' safety blanket last Sunday, proving their growing chemistry as a duo. With Keenan Allen (heel) and Rome Odunze (knee) battling injuries, Kmet is a must-start in a dreadful year for tight ends. He faces the Rams' struggling pass defense, ranking 4th in passing yards allowed (248.7).
Hunter Henry vs. SF
Like most viable fantasy options in New England, Henry had a very quiet day last Thursday against the Jets. Henry had just two catches for 9 yards on three targets. Though the Patriots' offense is well below average, the ball still needs to go somewhere, making the risk of starting Henry one worth taking against the 49ers, who rank 13th in passing yards allowed (217.7).
Jake Ferguson vs. NYG
Ferguson had a strong performance against Baltimore last week, hauling in 6 of 11 targets for 95 yards. Dallas is in desperate need of a win, with a huge opportunity to achieve that against the Giants. Ferguson, a safety blanket for Prescott and a red zone threat, should sustain his volume against New York.
Kicker
Blake Grupe vs. ATL
Grupe made both his field goal attempts last week against the Eagles. New Orleans' kicker is facing Atlanta, who ranks 1st in points allowed to kickers (11.7). Look for Grupe to have multiple opportunities to give your team points.
Younghoe Koo vs. NO
Koo had a quiet week last time out, hitting his only field goal attempt along with 2 PATs. Atlanta has not been a good red zone team so far this season, scoring touchdowns on only 44% of their opportunities (10th worst in the NFL). Playing a very solid Saints defense, Koo should be provided with multiple field goal attempts.
Chris Boswell vs. IND
Last week, Boswell hit each of his field goal attempts along with 2 PATs. Pittsburg ranks last in redzone efficiency (25%) while the Colts rank 15th in points allowed to kickers (8.3), making Boswell a safe start this week.
Nick Folk vs. MIA
Folk has been struggling to produce any sort of fantasy production, as he did not attempt a field goal last week. However, look for that to change against Miami, who allow 6 points a game to kickers.
Defense/Special Teams
Titans vs. MIA
Since Tua's injury, Miami's offense has struggled mightily. With no offensive identity and a new QB in Skylar Thomson, look for Tennessee's defense to shine this week.
Steelers vs. IND
The Steelers' defense is currently the best in the NFL, ranking first in points allowed per game (8.7). With the Colts offense struggling, look for Pittisburg's defense to continue rolling in week four.
49ers vs. NE
San Francisco's defense has been disappointing thus far, allowing 23 points per game through three weeks (12th worst in NFL). However, the Patriots offense lacks much talent, with one of the worst offensive lines in football. Look for the 49ers' defense to feast on this poor Patriots' offense, which ranks last in yards per game (246.3).
Browns vs. LV
Las Vegas has a serious quarterback problem. Their offense lacks identity and, aside from Devante Adams, firepower. Look for the Browns' defense, which ranks 20th in points allowed per game (22.3) to heavily improve their performance against the Raiders.
Sit 'Em
Quarterbacks
Anthony Richardson vs PIT
After one of the worst Quarterback performances in a winning effort this league has ever seen, Anthony Richardson is our first Sit 'Em candidate this week in hi upcoming matchup against Pittsburgh. Richardson has thrown a league-high 6 interceptions this year and the Steelers defense is T-4th for interceptions made. Add that to the Steelers' #1 Fantasy defense vs Quarterbacks and this is a clear sit for Richardson this week.
Sam Darnold vs GB
The Sam Darnold MVP-experiment should dampen this week as he faces a daunting Green Bay defense on the road. Darnold has looked exceptional this year averaging 68%, 219 pass yards and 2.7 TDs a game but he will face his first elite defense this week and while he may keep his pace and have a decent game, look for him not to wow as he has in his previous 3.
Patrick Mahomes vs LAC
In Pat Mahomes last 8 regular season game, he has 11 TDs and 9 INTs. Mahomes is still one of the best players in this league but it's clear he is not playing to his usual standards. Meanwhile the Chargers' defense is ranked 26th against QBs so far this year and has given up 3 Interceptions to 3 Touchdowns in that span. Look for Mahomes' woes to continue this season in his first divisional matchup of the year.
Geno Smith vs DET
Geno Smith has had a pretty great start to the year, averaging 262 pass yards and 1 TD a game. However, even though he goes against a weak Lions' secondary, Geno is probably poised to have a weak showing on MNF. Dead in the middle of the pack for Fantasy defenses this year, Detroit's bread and butter is rushing the Quarterback. After having a cupcake schedule for the first three weeks, look for Geno and the Seahawks to struggle this weekend.
Running Backs
Jonathan Taylor vs PIT
After back-to-back 100-yard rushing games, JT and the Colts get a visit from a Steelers' defense that has been lights out to start the year. 2nd in the league in rushing yards allowed and YPC allowed, the Steelers have the 2nd best Fantasy defense against RBs as well. Taylor may be the bell cow for a weak Colts' offense this year but this is as good a week as any to sit him.
Rhamondre Stevenson vs SF
.3 points!?!?!?!?
Rhamondre started the year off HOT averaging 100 yards and 1 TD through the first two weeks. Against the Jets though, the Patriots were exposed and that includes Stevenson who only had 23 yards on 6 carries and a fumble. The Patriots O-line showed their weakness against a strong NYJ Front-7, a matchup that will be even harder this week in San Francisco. While Stevenson will almost assuredly have more than .3 this week, he probably won't get too much more.
De'Von Achane vs TEN
Unfortunately for Achane, his entire Fantasy forecast for the year was swallowed up once Tua got hurt and this offense became predictable. While Achane may have the most touches in this offense from here on out, defenses will be keying in on him and not letting him get going at all.
Zach Charbonnet vs DET
Charbonnet enjoyed some success while Kenneth Walker was recovering from a hamstring injury but his return coupled with a matchup with Detroit don't spell too many opportunities for the young RB. Ranked the #1 defense against the run, Charbonnet may only see a handful of carries this week, ultimately being saved as the apparent 3DRB in Seattle, though without too much upside there either.
Wide Receivers
Garrett Wilson vs DEN
Garrett Wilson saw his first TD of the year last week vs New England in a blowout win and finally got 10+ points. The thing is, the Jets have shown they will spread the ball around and have often used Wilson as a 3rd option on this offense. With a matchup against Denver looming and a matchup for Wilson against Pat Surtain II, Wilson will be fine to be on your bench this week in what should be a low-scoring affair anyways.
Calvin Ridley vs MIA
Ridley had a monstrous start to the season and fell off a cliff in Week 3, with only 1 reception for 9 yards against Green Bay. In what may be the toughest matchups any WR has seen this year, Ridley has faced Jaylon Johnson, Sauce Gardner and Jaire Alexander with Jalen Ramsey set up for next week. While DeAndre Hopkins has taken some of those CB1 coverages from him, it's likely Ridley should be benched until a more favorable matchup finds him.
Zay Flowers vs BUF
Unfortunately for fantasy owners, it seems as though the only Ravens players to draft this year were Lamar and Derrick Henry. We knew Lamar wouldn't throw the ball all over the field, but after 3 weeks the team doesn't have a single pass-catcher averaging more than 50 yards per game. Flowers has proven to be a Fantasy disappointment with only his Week 2 performance being start-worthy. With a HUGE matchup vs the Bills upcoming, keep Flowers on the bench.
Tight Ends
Mark Andrews vs BUF
Is it too early to call Andrews the Fantasy bust of the year? 6 receptions for 65 yards would've been a down game for him last season. This year? That's his totals after 3 weeks. It's hard to say what's going on in Baltimore with Andrews but he is a definite bench player until he proves otherwise, especially with the emergence of Isaiah Likely and a matchup vs Buffalo.
George Kittle vs NE
Kittle is listed as questionable right now and even if he does play should be benched against a New England defense that has only allowed 9 receptions and 0 TDs to TEs so far this season. Kittle may be a breakout candidate thanks to the absence of healthy playmakers on this offense, but probably not unless you have no other options for your TE this week.
Trey McBride vs WAS
A huge breakout candidate before the season started, McBride hasn't had any great performances this year that didn't include a lucky fumble recovery TD. He's hauled in a team-high 14 receptions but only for 122 yards and no TDs. A matchup against Washington may seem favorable but some how is not, with the Commanders defense ranking 6th against TEs so far this season. McBride isn't a definite sit this week but since the TE Fantasy play around the league has been so poor this season could make it to some starting lineups.
