Game 2: Must Win for Celtics

The Knicks pulled out a shocking Game 1 win in Overtime on Monday in TD Garden. A game that got away from the C's, they would at one point lead by 20 but fall apart in the Fourth Quarter and Overtime. The Celtics will be at home again for Game 2 and will look to even the series before Games 3 & 4 in New York. A possible 0-2 start heading into New York could be catastrophic for the defending champions
In Game 2, the biggest focus for the Celtics will have to be around their 3-point shooting. An abysmal 15-60 in Game 1, the C's had one of their worst perimeter shooting games of the season. Every other statistic was either extremely close or won by the Celtics especially Rebounds and Free Throws.
The worst offenders of the 3-ball were the stars Tatum and Brown, who shot 4/15 and 1/10 respectively. Derrick White would add 5/16 to the total combining for 10/41 from their best scorers. This egregious inefficiency would be their downfall and cause the loss. The bright side is, even with such a horrendous shooting night, the C's only lost by 3... in Overtime nonetheless.
Game 2 will be tonight at 7:00 EST and the Celtics are a whopping -520 favorites to win the game, (all sports betting odds courtesy of DraftKings.com). The Celtics home record on the season was top notch and after an embarrassment like Game 1, the C's are all but assured to come out firing and overwhelm the Knicks as they have so many times this season.
Celtics in 5!
