WAIT WHAT???

The Head Coach that took the New York Knicks to their best season and further in the Playoffs than they had in 25 years... has been fired after a 5-year tenure that saw the Knicks best their previous season win totals in 4 of his 5 years at the helm.

Thibodeau and the 2025 Knicks had a 51-31 record and most-notably dismantled the defending-champion Celtics in 6 games. His style of team-based rugged defense has been praised for almost two decades back to his time as Head Coach of the Bulls.

The Knicks decision to fire Thibodeau will be met with A LOT of rage and criticism especially by the New York fan base that was so alive and passionate thee playoffs.

Who will the Knicks hire to replace him and can anyone match or exceed Thibodeau's success in his 5 seasons in New York? That's still a mystery. His legend and Hall of Fame career is no mystery however and should he decide to continue coaching even at 68 years old, I'm sure he will find a suitor more than happy to continue his legacy.
