New York- The USTA and Mercedes Benz have partnered up with the US Open and decided that for every Ace a player serves Mercedes Benz will donate $50 dollars to grass-roots initiative.
The grass-roots initiative helps the USTA Foundation’s National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network, which provides tennis and educational opportunities for underprvileged youth. With the challenging times with the pandemic, Mercedes Benz wants to help out anyway that they can to keep the foundation going.
"Funds raised through this program will be specifically targeted to certain NJTLs, with one-third being allocated to Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Sloane Stephens' foundation, which is an NJTL chapter in Southern California. Another third of the funds will be directed to NJTL chapters in Atlanta, which serves as Mercedes-Benz USA's home base of operation, and the remaining third will be designated for an NJTL chapter in the Northeast," said US Open Committee.
