Patriots Sign Stefon Diggs

The Patriots have signed their much needed Wide Receiver and it is Stefon Diggs. After a much publicized meeting this past weekend, the talks slowed down afterwards indicating a lack of connection between the two parties.

The former Bills and Texans receiver signed a 3 year $69 Million dollar deal Tuesday night and will instantly become the Patriots #1 receiving option for their Franchise QB Drake Maye.

Some questions have been made about Diggs' presence in the locker room and words such as "diva" have even been mentioned. For this young and growing team however, a veteran and talent like Diggs will only improve the roster and help Maye's progression.

Diggs is still currently recovering from a Torn ACL injury that occurred in October as a member of the Texans, but all reports indicate he will be ready to go come September.

We have seen some of the most successful New England receivers come to the team in situations just like this; a "diva" receiver past his prime came here in 2008 and alongside Tom Brady, Randy Moss took over this league. Maybe the comparison from Diggs to Moss is a bit overzealous but Patriot fans should none the less be rejoycing over this exceptional signing for the team!
