Team Overview
The Eagles roster was Top-3 if not the best in the league last year but through the offseason, they've lost several key players mostly on defense. Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Darius Slay and Oren Burks all left the defense to new teams and Mekhi Becton and Kenneth Gainwell have also left the offense.

The good news for the reigning champs is that each hole made by a departing star is going to be filled and quickly. Jalyx Hunt, Mojo Oromo and Cooper DeJean will fill out the defense and although, (besides DeJean) they won't have the same impact at least right away the hole will be filled. On offense, Tyler Steen and AJ Dillon will be stepping into the departed holes and will have a tougher time living up to their predecessors.
Even if their roster is worse in these spots than last year, great leaders and coaching will make up for most of it and keep the Eagles as a Top-7 roster at the very least.

Week 1: vs Cowboys
The Eagles wouldn't want to have their 2025 Super Bowl ceremony in front of any other team than the Cowboys. At home versus their rivals, this may be the best game of the week and it should go the Eagles' way.
Prediction: Eagles 28-17

Week 2: @ Chiefs
We only need to wait until Week 2 for a Super Bowl rematch and this one may be in Kansas City's favor. While the Chiefs lost some players as well, they didn't lose nearly the same star power as the Eagles. Look for revenge to be taken here.
Prediction: Chiefs 27-24

Week 3: vs Rams
The Rams passing game may be the best test for the Eagles secondary this early in the season. The good news is that the Eagles should be able to floor the Rams D just like it did in the playoffs.
Prediction: Eagles 28-24

Week 4: @ Buccaneers
This is gonna be a banger. The Buccaneers pass game may be even better than the Rams next year. Fortunately for the Eagles, their offense matches up too well against their southern foes and should light up the scoreboard this week.
Prediction: Eagles 34-27
___________________________________
Week 5: vs Broncos
This will be the first game where the Eagles will have a clear disadvantage in defense. Not totally their faulty, on paper the Broncos have the best defense in the league but their offense is still unproven. A low-scoring game bodes well for the more experienced champions.
Prediction: Eagles 16-14

Week 6: @ Giants
The Giants will either be a little below average or a lot below average this season so a home game is there only chance to bet their divisional rivals. This one may get ugly.
Prediction: Eagles 31-14

Week 7: @ Vikings
Since Jalen hurts took over in Philadelphia, the team is 2-0 against the Vikings with both meetings taking place in Philly. With this meeting happening in Minnesota I actually expect the Vikings to come out swinging through the air. I may be wrong but I'm actually taking the underdogs here in a tough road game for the Eagles.
Prediction: Vikings 28-23

Week 8: vs Giants
This will be even worse than the road game earlier. At home after a loss, this game might actually be the game Brian Daboll even gets fired.
Prediction: Eagles 28-10

Week 9: BYE WEEK
At 6-2 on their mid-season BYE week, the Giants may be mad about the Vikings' loss but are sitting right around where they should be. Fighting for home-field advantage in the playoffs for a second year in a row, the Eagles will have several 2nd-half matchups circled including their next two following this week.

Week 10: @ Packers
Eagles and Packers consistently have some of the best matchups of the season when they clash. Funny thing is, the Packers only have 1 win in the last 10 seasons. A perfect matchup between a specialized offense and stifling front-seven defense with great coaching and pedigree, the only reason I'll take the Eagles here is because the Packers' corner room will look pretty slow without Jaire Alexander.
Prediction: Eagles 24-21
___________________________________
Week 11: vs Lions
Potentially the climax of the season for the Eagles, after a tough road game in Green Bay, the Lions come to town in a guaranteed barn burner. The best two rosters in the NFC from a season ago will go to war and this could truly be a pick 'em. Without the Lions' coaching from last season however, this game could be won in the final few seconds by the home team.
Prediction: Eagles 27-24
___________________________________
Week 12: @ Cowboys
Here's the thing... I'm gonna give this one to the Cowboys. In the last 7 years the Eagles are 1-7 in Dallas and Jalen Hurts only got his first win there last season. The Cowboys also have the passing game to take advantage of a young secondary in Philly. Can't wait to hear the fan bases on this one.
Prediction: Cowboys 26-24
___________________________________
Week 13: vs Bears
The Bears may be my favorite team to have a meteoric rise we saw the Commanders and Texans have in years past and a matchup with the Eagles may exploit that. The Bears have the chance to be the most dynamic passing game we've seen in a very long time. With Ben Johnson at the helm, I can see this game going either way. This also may be the highest scoring game of the Eagles season and the closest they come to losing at home.
Prediction: Eagles 38-35
___________________________________
Week 14: @ Chargers
The Chargers will have very strong trenches this season and good running the ball and against it. In a far road trip for the Eagles, this game will be a tight one but their passing game should be able to create havoc in an otherwise poor secondary for the Chargers.
Prediction: Eagles 24-17
___________________________________
Week 15: vs Raiders
The Raiders have some pieces and with Pete Carroll should have a good run game and secondary. However, the Eagles literally outmatch them at every turn and in almost every position. Coming back home this shouldn't be all that close.
Prediction: Eagles 27-17
___________________________________
Week 16: @ Commanders
The first rematch of last season's NFC Championship won't come until Week 16 this year and will happen in Washington where the Eagles lost last year. I believe with end-of-season implications and an expected, ((my expectation) sophomore slumps for Jayden Daniels that this game will be circled for the Eagles and another dominant win.
Prediction: Eagles 38-21
___________________________________
Week 17: @ Bills
This could be a potential Super Bowl preview and what a slugfest it will be. With both teams likely fighting for Playoff seeding at this point, I'm going to give a slight edge to the Bills who have the home field advantage and a slightly more complete defense.
Prediction: Bills 27-24
___________________________________
Week 18: vs Commanders
The Eagle finish off their season at home in their 2nd matchup against the Commanders in 3 weeks. This game may be a wash for the Eagles who have a 12-4 record at this point and may be out of the running for the 1st seed. With the Commanders possibly playing for a Wild Card slot and the Eagles likely resting their starters, this game will go to Washington.
Prediction: 31-21
___________________________________

The defending Super Bowl champs have a 12-5 record in this exercise with a 4-2 record within the NFC East and a 7-1 record at Lincoln Financial.
After a dominant #1 seed-14-3 season, the Eagles took a bit of a step back after losing several defensive players. With the whole world gunning for them, the Eagles will surely use their power run offense to dominate lines of scrimmage this season. As seen in many of my entries, opposing teams hopes will either be catching the them on a bad day or road trip, or exploiting the only weaknesses the Eagles have, a SOMEWHAT shaky secondary and making Jalen Hurts throw the ball 40+ times.
Likely the 12-5 record will get them the 2nd or even 3rd seed in the NFC. The Eagles will have a home playoff game where they were lights out in this exercise, only losing one game in Lincoln Financial on a Week 18 game they rest their starters.
This team may have taken a step down but are still firmly in the Super Bowl picture.
