The Pacers came back from an "insurmountable" lead last night in Madison Square Garden, down 14 points with 3 minutes left.

The comeback was actually led by former Celtic Aaron Nesmith, who hit 5 3-pointers and scored 17 points in the final 3:14 of the 4th quarter.

The comeback would be capped off by Tyrese Haliburton hitting a buzzer beating 2-pointer that would bounce off the back of the rim and bounced 10 feet high before swooshing through the net. The game-tying shot was originally ruled a 3-pointer for the Pacers' win but video replay sent the game to overtime over Haliburton's "pinky toe" touching the arch.

The Pacers would then go on to outscore the Knicks 13-10 in overtime to win by a score of 138-135.

Haliburton and Nesmith were the heroes at the end but the Pacers as a team played remarkable, with 6 players coring in the double digits and the team as a whole shooting 51/40/75.

The Knicks deserve a LOT of credit for how they played until their downfall in the 4th. Karl Anthony Towns scored double digits in the 4th and ended with 35 points and 12 rebounds while Jalen Brunson would score 43 as well.

Game 1 has gone to the Pacers in MSG and Game 2 will be played tomorrow on Friday May 23rd, also in New York. A natural rivalry between the two, Game 2's stakes and attitude amongst the players just got even more heated.
