Waiver Wire Tuesday Week 5

Another week, another chance to pick up some great players. Week 4 had it all: great performances from rookies, depth pieces getting more touches, and players stepping up to fill in for injured stars. Fret not if your favorite player now rests on IR or has a bye this week; here are some names to look for to fill in those spots.
Quarterback: Jaxson Dart (New York Giants)
There were a lot of questions surrounding Dart entering the season. When would he get to play? How will he do? What will he do well, and what will he need to improve on? He seemed to answer all of them on Sunday against the Chargers, performing a lifetime.
He became the first NFL quarterback in over 20 years to defeat a team with a 3-0 record or better in his first career start. It was a great start for the few fantasy managers who had him. He completed 13 of 20 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, also scoring a rushing touchdown. That scored over 21 PPR points, a solid performance for any quarterback. Dart has given the Giants hope, and maybe he can give your team some hope as well.
Running Back: Woody Marks (Houston Texans)
This is one of those quick hit additions to the roster. Marks balled out against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. He rushed 17 times for 69 yards and a touchdown, then caught four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.
He led Houston’s backs in snaps for the first time this season, with Nick Chubb playing more of a complementary role even though he started the game. It is a favorable matchup for him against a porous Ravens defense this week, so add him while you can.
Wide Receiver: Romeo Doubs (Green Bay Packers) - This is a position not many managers want to talk about, especially if they had either Malik Nabers or Tyreek Hill as their WR1. Both of whom suffered horrible knee injuries on Sunday. Luckily, there are some solid options to fill the gap.
Wide Receiver: Romeo Doubs (Green Bay Packers)
Enter Romeo Doubs, who had a fantastic night against the Cowboys. He caught six of eight passes for 58 yards and three touchdowns, nearly breaking 30 PPR points. He is becoming Jordan Love’s favorite target on the field, and adding him here could be fruitful to your WR position moving forward.
Tight End: Brenton Strange (Jacksonville Jaguars)
Better options here would be Dallas Goedert and Hunter Henry, but they are highly likely to already be rostered somewhere else (unless they are not, in which case pick them up). However, Strange is proving to be a solid tight end for an emerging Jaguars offense.
He has posted 10+ point performances in consecutive weeks. He does face a challenge in Kansas City next Monday, but he could be the perfect fit for someone with a tight end on bye this week.
Defense/Special Teams: Indianapolis Colts
The Colts took a hit taking on a dynamic Rams offense on Sunday. However, it will have a chance to bounce back against the Raiders, a favorable matchup with a higher chance of takeaways since Geno Smith leads the league in interceptions thrown. There have been two times this season the Colts defense has posted 13+ points in a week, so take advantage of that if they are available.
