It was another great week of performances from players on the Waiver Wire last week. Rico Dowdle of the Carolina Panthers and Kendrick Bourne of the San Francisco 49ers are a couple of names on last week’s list that had great performances. They did so well that most people took them onto their rosters, and now they are no longer on this list for the time being. That does not mean that this week’s list of players is short of talent that can help your team out this upcoming weekend.

Quarterback: Jaxon Dart (New York Giants)

Once again, Jaxon Dart takes a spot on this list at the quarterback position. Dart is only rostered on 34% of fantasy teams, with some still skeptical of his abilities as a passer. That changed with New York’s stunning blowout of the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday night. Dart will have a challenge this week on the road, facing a formidable Denver Broncos defense. However, his recent performances have proven that he has established himself as a solid starter for the Giants and a reliable option for a QB1 in fantasy. Grab him now while you still can!

Running Back - Kimani Vidal (Los Angeles Chargers)

With starting running back Omarian Hampton out with an ankle injury, the Chargers had to pass their running duties off to someone else. Many thought this would go to Hassan Haskins due to his connection to Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh. However, this was not the case as Kimani Vidal had a better performance against the Miami Dolphins, rushing for 124 yards on 18 carries. He looks to be the go-to option again this week as the Chargers face the Indianapolis Colts. If you need running back support, pick up Vidal.

Wide Receiver - Kayshon Boutte (New England Patriots)

Boutte had a quiet last four games, totaling seven catches for 105 yards in that span. However, he broke through against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday with a huge performance, catching five passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns. While this recent performance does not confirm a strong performance this coming weekend, it is a promising sign that Boutte will produce with quarterback Drake Maye being great and the Tennessee Titans being the opposite. Boutte is a solid option to pick up as a receiver if you need one.

Tight End - Michael Mayer (Las Vegas Raiders)

With star tight end Brock Bowers still sidelined with a knee injury, the Raiders have had Michael Mayer step up as the starting tight end. Sunday, Mayer caught five of seven targets for 50 yards and a touchdown, eclipsing any performance of Bowers’ this season. There is no debate that Bowers will start when he is healthy, but Mayer is the only healthy option for Las Vegas and has been solid in the role. If you are thin at the tight end position this season, Mayer will be a solid pickup.

Defense/Special Teams - New York Giants

The Giants’ defense scored eight points against the Eagles last Thursday. Now, they face the Denver Broncos, whose offense only put up one touchdown in their 13-11 victory over the New York Jets in London. Registering three or more sacks in half of their games and regularly creating turnovers is a recipe for success as a defense. If the Giants are available, and if your current defense is on a bye week, you should pick them up, as they could give Bo Nix and the Broncos a lot of trouble.
