1. Philadelphia Eagles --

8-2 (Won 4 in a Row)

Last Week: 16-9 Win v DET

After winning 4 in a row including a tough battle with the Lions, not only are the Eagles #1 but their defense is certainly atop the league as well.

2. Los Angeles Rams /\1

8-2 (Won 5 in a Row)

Last Week: 21-19 Win v SEA

Everything is clicking for the Rams right now after 5 wins in a row against good competition as well. Next week will be no different when the Buccs come to town.

______________________________

3. Detroit Lions \/1

6-4 (Won 2 out of Last 3)

Last Week: 16-9 Loss at PHI

The Lions offense had their worst game of the season facing the Eagles in Philly but so have plenty of other teams, they'll be back.

______________________________

4. Seattle Seahawks \/1

7-3 (Won 4 of Last 5)

Last Week: 21-19 Loss at LAR

Sam Darnold may have to answer questions about turnovers during big games but the Seahawks defense still kept them in the game anyway. This game proved that if Darnold limits turnovers the Seahawks can beat anyone.

______________________________

5. New England Patriots --

9-2 (Won 8 in a Row)

Last Week: 27-14 Win v NYJ

The "soft schedule" narrative has some credence to it but nonetheless the Patriots have been rolling over anyone and are quietly building one of the best defenses in the league.

______________________________

6. Buffalo Bills /\1

7-3 (Won 3 of Last 4)

Last Week: 44-32 Win v TB

Josh Allen has been somewhat inconsistent on the year but last week was a masterpiece. Still, the Bills needed every bit of his heroics to sneak out a win against the injured-Buccs.

______________________________

7. Denver Broncos /\1

9-2 (Won 8 in a Row)

Last Week: 22-19 Win v KC

The Broncos hold the longest win streak along with the Pats but different from New England, have had too many close calls. Still, even at home a win against the Chiefs is very telling.

______________________________

8. Indianapolis Colts /\2

8-2 (Won 5 of Last 6)

Last Week: BYE Week

The Colts' BYE Week comes at a great time as the Colts' "soft" 1st half schedule turns into a daunting road ahead including the Chiefs, Texans, Seahawks, 49ers and Jaguars.

______________________________

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers \/3

6-4 (Lost 3 of Last 4)

Last Week: 44-32 Loss at BUF

The Buccs are banged up on offense and still almost beat the Bills in Buffalo. Still, this team dips in the rankings until they get some firepower back on offense.

______________________________

10. Green Bay Packers /\1

6-3-1 (Lost 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 27-20 Win at NYG

Similar to the Broncos, the Packers have had a lot of close games and to some not great teams. They still have one of the best rosters in the league and for that are back in the Top-10.

______________________________

11. Chicago Bears /\4

7-3 (Won 7 of Last 8)

Last Week: 19-17 Win at MIN

The Bears have had an outstanding 2 months but have also had a "soft" schedule right until they win in Minnesota and now I have to start taking them very seriously.

______________________________

12. Baltimore Ravens /\1

Last Week: 23-16 Win at CLE

5-5 (Won 4 in a Row)

Last week's game in Cleveland wasn't the prettiest but was still a division win to give the Ravens 4 in a Row.

______________________________

13. Kansas City Chiefs \/4

5-5 (Won 3 of Last 5)

Last Week: 22-19 Loss at DEN

The Chiefs drop to 1-4 on the road this season having only beat the Giants. Thankfully the rest of their tough games are back at Aarowhead... what a coincidence how that happens huh?

______________________________

14. San Francisco 49ers --

Won 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 41-22 Win at ARI

Brock Purdy came back and the 49ers' offense had it's most efficient game of the season in Arizona. The 49ers don't move their ranking this week but if this continues look for them to creep back into the Top-10.

______________________________

15. Houston Texans /\2

5-5 (Won 3 of Last 4)

Last Week: 16-13 Win at TEN

The Texans' defense remains the best in the game and with their offense slowly getting back to being at least decent, the Texans are becoming dangerous.

______________________________

16. Jacksonville Jaguars /\3

6-4 (Won 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 35-6 Win v LAC

Well that was out of nowhere... The Chargers are a great team this year and the Jaguars made them look BAD as they may have got back on track.

______________________________

17. Los Angeles Chargers \/5

7-4 (Won 3 of Last 4)

Last Week: 35-6 Loss at JAX

I have to believe the road game in Jacksonville is a fluke as the Chargers just looked awful. after winning 3 in a row, the Chargers now get a much deserved BYE and should come back ready for the final stretch.

______________________________

18. Pittsburgh Steelers -- 6-4 (Won 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 34-12 Win v CIN

Is there a QB-controversy brewing in Pittsburgh? They looked very good with Mason Rudolph and will probably start him after Rodgers' "Slightly" broken wrist this week.

______________________________

19. Carolina Panthers /\1

6-5 (Won 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 30-27 Win at ATL

A hard fought, divisional road game shows that the Panthers' back-and0forth season still has the potential for this team to make it in the playoffs as long as Bryce Young doesn't have a stinker.

______________________________

20. Minnesota Vikings \/4

4-6 (Lost 4 of Last 5)

Last Week: 19-17 Loss v CHI

The Vikings have now dropped 4 out of 5 and part of it is J.J. McCarthy's growing pains. This roster is very good but their momentum and QB-play isn;t giving them much of a chance to be successful this year.

______________________________

21. Miami Dolphins /\2

4-7 (Won 3 of Last 4)

Last Week: 16-13 Win vs WAS

Don't look now but the Dolphins aren't giving up on the season yet. Perhaps they are rallying around Mike McDaniel after his firing rumors started right before this streak of wins.

______________________________

22. Dallas Cowboys /\3

4-5-1 (Lost 2 of Last 3)

Last Week: 33-16 Win at LV

The Cowboys have the innate ability to win games they shouldn't because their offense is so explosive. Unfortunately for them, their defense will also lose them games but not to teams as lowly as the Raiders.

______________________________

23. Atlanta Falcons \/2

3-7 (Lost 5 in a Row)

Last Week: 30-27 Loss v CAR

The Falcons were one of the better-looked at teams until about Week 5 and have now lost 5 in a row since. Now with Michael Penix likely out for the season, they might keep slipping down this list.

______________________________

24. Washington Commanders --

3-8 (Lost 6 in a Row)

Last Week: 16-13 Loss vs MIA

Jayden Daniels can't come back soon enough.

______________________________

25. Arizona Cardinals \/3

3-7 (Lost 6 of Last 7)

Last Week: 41-22 Loss v SF

The Cardinals keep looking bad no matter if Brissett or Murray is the lead and they are just about 1 win away from likely giving up on the season.

______________________________

26. New York Jets /\2

2-8 (Lost 7 of Last 8)

Last Week: 24-17 Loss at NE

The Jets longest win streak of the season is over and while they are basically already out of the playoff race... I don't know why but I can see them still rattling off some wins.

______________________________

27. Cleveland Browns /\3

2-8 (Lost 5 of Last 6)

Last Week: 23-16 Loss v BAL

Shedeur Sanders finally got in the ball game and looked looked terrible even if he still has some potential in this league. Even still, this team is done for the year and are only playing for pride.

______________________________

28. Cincinnati Bengals \/2

3-7 (Lost 7 of Last 8)

Last Week: 34-12 Loss at PIT

Photo by Matt Freed/ Associated Press

The Joe Flacco-story was cool for a while but the Bengals have returned to a defensive-disaster and at this point should sit Burrow even if he comes back in the next few weeks.

______________________________

29. New York Giants \/2

2-9 (Lost 5 in a Row)

Last Week: 27-20 Loss v GB

Since Cam Skattebo's injury, the Giants have lost 5 in a row and fired their head coach. This team has a very good base for the next few years and they should already be focused on that.

______________________________

30. New Orleans Saints \/1

2-8 (Lost 4 of Last 5)

Last Week: BYE Week

The Saints looked much better with Tyler Shough under center and with a BYE Week immediately superseding that, maybe they could have some fight for the end of the season?

______________________________

31. Las Vegas Raiders --

2-8 (Lost 7 of Last 8)

Last Week: 33-16 Loss v DAL

I believe firing a Head Coach after only 1 season is RARELY the answer and Pete Carroll shouldn't be the exception... but it's getting very close.

______________________________

32. Tennessee Titans --

1-9 (Lost 5 in a Row)

Last Week: 16-13 Loss v HOU

I've said for a while now the Titans should tank for another #1 pick and trade it away for assets to help Cam Ward and I believe they're doing just that.
