Tyrese Maxey is having a breakout sophomore season for the Philadelphia 76ers. Maxey, who turned 21 on November 4th is currently averaging 18.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per contest in 16 games this season. Maxey also has been efficient in his outings this year, shooting j
52.4 percent from the field and just over 42 percent from three. In 7 of Maxey’s 17 starts, he has scored over 20 points including back-to-back 30+ point performances against the defending championships, the Milwaukee Bucks and their division rivals the Toronto Raptors. In that two game stretch, Maxey scored a combined 64 points (33, 31). In those games he went a combined 24-43 from the field (55.8%), 5-12 from 3 (41.6%), and 11-11 from the free throw line (100%).
Yesterday, Maxey finished with 28 points against the Trail Blazers, but unfortunately his scoring output wasn't enough for a win. This is Philadelphia's third loss of this road trip. Tomorrow they look to get back to their winning ways against the struggling Sacramento Kings, who are currently on a 3 game losing streak, Maxey will be going head-to-head with the explosive De'Aaron Fox. Let's see if Philadelphia can get some momentum going before facing a hot Warriors team on Wednesday.
