Midway through the RI HS Ice Hockey season here are your boys rankings DI, DII and DIII

So here we go, midway through the RIIL high school boys ice hockey season and the rankings are all shook up.

If you haven’t signed up to watch the action live and rewatch the games here is the link:


We are awaiting some seriously important games to be played in Rhode Island boys ice hockey, but until then this is how

we rank teams and players in all divisions.





Top Teams D1:


  1. La Salle Rams - undefeated in regular season games and beat EG who beat Hendricken

  2. East Greenwich Avengers - beat Hendricken, enough said

  3. Bishop Hendricken Hawks - beat La Salle in a meaningless scrimmage, lost to EG in regular season play. Their game vs the Rams will have a lot of weight in playoff positioning

  4. Burrillville Broncos - hit with the COVID bug, but still undefeated in the regular season

  5. Smithfield Sentinels - sneaky good, great defense and goaltending, look out if their offense gets going


Top Teams DII




  1. Portsmouth Patriots - points leader in DII as of tonight. Top 3 goaltender, high scoring offense - gets the Ws against the tough teams

  2. NK Skippers - high scoring team that can play D

  3. Cranston West Falcons-loss to Portsmouth and NK

  4. PSW Co-Op - small roster, but knows how to grind out tough games

  5. RMR Co-Op

  1. Coventry Oakers - easily the best team in DIII, great goal scoring from freshman Collin King and Michael Laroche

  2. Ponaganset Chieftans
