NASCAR's Playoff Action Returns to Richmond,VA

Richmond, VA- NASCAR will be stopping in Richmond, VA to continue their playoff series, as Richmond will host the Federated Auto Parts 400 series.



On Friday and Saturday, NASCAR will be running their Federated Auto Parts series. Kevin Harvick will look to maintain his lead in the playoff standings, as he sits atop of the leaders with 2,106 points. Harvick has been one driver to look out for this season, as he has won eight races this year. Outside of Harvick, who already clinched himself a spot in the Round of 12 playoffs, other eligible drivers that wins the race will earn a spot in the next round of the playoff action.


Denny Hamlin (2,087 points), Joey Logano (2,060 points), Brad Keselowski (2,055 points) and Alex Bowman (2,052 points) round out the top 5 in the field. It is anybody race, so don't be surprised if Chase Elliott will be in the top 5 in Richmond. Elliott is known to ride pretty clean in Richmond and have some success at the RIR. It will be interesting to see what driver will move onto the next round. The green flag will come out at Saturday at 7:30 pm ET.
