Just last night, the Patriots finished a clean sweep of the best defenses in the AFC by defeating the Broncos 10-7 in Denver. With that one out of the way, the Patriots playoff resume now includes the #7 ranked defense of the Chargers, the #3 in Houston and #2 in Denver. With the final game coming in 2 weeks, they can look forward to #1 in Seattle.

Once again Drake Maye shined against a "superior" defense. Whether it was controlling the football or running all over the Broncos' defense, Maye wasn't perfect but he did what he's done all year; put the Patriots in the right position to win.

Maye wasn't the only hero of the game as once again, with all of the hype around the other defense it would be the Patriots' that would control the game, evident by the Broncos being shut out completely after their second drive. Even more impressive, after that second drive the Broncos would only muster 120 yards of total offense and commit two turnovers.

Leading the way on the Patriots' steel curtain were their trio of corners Gonzo, Davis and their playoff-MVP, Marcus Jones. Gonzalez would not only get his first sack of the season but would get the game-winning interception deep in the 4th Quarter.

Christian Barmore and Christian Elliss would also play a huge part in stuffing the Broncos by completely shutting down the run for most of the game. The Broncos ended up rushing for 79 yards on the day but with an average of only 3.3 yards per carry.

With the Broncos vanquished, the next and final step will be in Santa Clara for Super Bowl 60. With an extra week of preparation, the Pats should be extremely ready and confident for what should again be their tallest task in these playoffs.
