D4 Smithfield vs North Smithfield

Smithfield:

please read this stellar message from the coach;

Thank you for this opportunity however it isn’t in our character to single out players. My coaching staff and I have a strong emphasis on team play at the core of our foundation. We have been emphasizing the 5 pillars of our program since we took over last year. This season is a culmination of players buying into that belief and putting in the work and dedicating themselves to these principles. There is no other group of young men I’d rather Coach. 5 Pillars of our program 1-Honor your family/yourself 2-Honor the school 3- Honor your team 4- Honor your opponent 5- Honor the game

North Smithfield:

#9 Cam Cabral - Senior Captain. Scoring 45 goals and 16 assists this season. Stepped up big from last year at 10G and 3A.

He has become a leading guiding this team to todays final game. Cam follows his brother Andrew who played for NS as well. Both boys outstanding young men and players.

Both never give up and give 100% all the time. Cam needs one point to break the total points record at the school and 4 goals to beat the scoring record held by Ethan Cote.

#4 Seth Pickering - Senior Captain on Defense. He took on two new players this year and helped coach them get better and better each game. Seth is a 2nd year player but you would think he played for years.

Handles and controls the ball and plays like a seasoned pro.

#22 Max Mattos - First year player and senior. 28 Goals and 18 assists. He just took to the sport. Started on Defense which he plays in hockey. Moved him to attack and he has taken over at X.

He scored 5 goals in the semi against Tiverton to help bring home the come back win.

Ganset Champagne - mid - knows his teammates from Hockey and makes the passes and takes the shots when needed

Nate Gravel - Mid - rising Freshman to keep an eye on

prediction - Smithfield

good luck to everyone this weekend!!
